Encompass Becomes a Microsoft Certified Partner

LAFAYETTE (January 1, 2001) - Encompass, a computer consulting and service company, has been named a Microsoft Certified Partner. Encompass and its customers are expected to yield significant benefits through this new relationship with Microsoft.


Encompass’ Withers One of First 1000 to Become MCSD

LAFAYETTE (January 1, 2000) - Microsoft announced today that Wendt Withers, Encompass' president who recently earned the title of Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD), was one of the first 1000 people in the world to earn that prestigious title. Microsoft has honored him with a commemorative plaque.


Encompass’ Withers Earns Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) Title

LAFAYETTE (November 5, 1999) - Wendt Withers, Encompass president, recently earned the title of Microsoft Certified Database Administrator. Microsoft’s certification program is one of the industry’s most comprehensive programs for assessing and maintaining software-related skills. To become a Database Administrator, Withers had to take a series of 6 difficult examinations that tested his mastery of Microsoft operating systems, database administration and development.


Encompass’ Withers Earns Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD) Title

LAFAYETTE (October 12, 1999) - Wendt Withers, Encompass president, recently earned the title of Microsoft Certified Solution Developer. Microsoft’s certification program is one of the industry’s most comprehensive programs for assessing and maintaining software-related skills. To become a Solution Developer, Withers had to take a series of 4 difficult examinations that tested his mastery of Microsoft's development platforms, enterprise development, and software solution architecture.


Encompass’ Withers Earns Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) Title

LAFAYETTE (June 8, 1999) - Wendt Withers, Encompass president, recently earned the title of Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer. Microsoft’s certification program is one of the industry’s most comprehensive programs for assessing and maintaining software-related skills. To become a Systems Engineer, Withers had to take a series of 6 difficult examinations that tested his mastery of Microsoft operating systems, networking, the Internet, and server-based application software.


Encompass’ Broussard Earns Network+ Certification

LAFAYETTE (May 5, 1999) - Christian Broussard, Encompass vice-president, recently received Network+ certification from the Computing Technology Industry Association. Earning a Network+ certification means that he possesses the knowledge, skills and customer relations skills essential to being a successful network technician, as defined by experts from companies across the industry. The examination Broussard passed to be certified covers a broad range of networking technologies. The world’s largest network vendors, distributors, resellers and third party maintenance organizations contributed to developing the test.


Encompass Becomes a Microsoft Certified Solution Provider (MCSP)

LAFAYETTE, LA (February 1, 1999) - Encompass, a computer consulting and service company, has been named a Microsoft Certified Solution Provider (MCSP). Encompass and its customers are expected to yield significant benefits through this new relationship with Microsoft.

"Achieving MCSP status is a goal we have worked towards for the past year," said Wendt Withers, President of Encompass. "MCSPs receive more in-depth and timely access to information and updates for Microsoft’s entire product line. As an MCSP, Encompass will provide an even higher level of service to customers."

MCSPs are independent organizations working with Microsoft that offer their customers a full range of services, including Internet, intranet and e-commerce solutions, line-of-business applications, and client/server implementations.

"Encompass was selected as an MCSP because of its demonstrated expertise with Microsoft products," said Juan Vegarra, director, worldwide MCSP program at Microsoft Corp. "With Microsoft Certified Professionals on staff, Encompass is helping the end user maximize IT investments on the Windows platform and we are pleased to have them onboard as an MCSP."

Encompass, which serves south Louisiana and beyond, provides computer sales and service; networking; database, software and web development; web hosting; and setup for client/server applications such as e-mail and accounting.

Encompass’ Broussard Earns Computer Certifications

LAFAYETTE (September 1, 1998) - Christian Broussard, Encompass vice-president, recently received two computer industry certifications. Broussard achieved Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) status after demonstrating technical proficiency and expertise in the Windows® 95 operating system examination. Microsoft’s certification program is one of the industry’s most comprehensive programs for assessing and maintaining software-related skills. Technical managers recognize the MCP designation as a mark of quality. Broussard is also only one of 65,000 technicians worldwide to have received A+ certification from the Computing Technology Industry Association. Earning an A+ certification means that he possesses the knowledge, skills and customer relations skills essential to being a successful computer service technician, as defined by experts from companies across the industry. The examination Broussard passed to be certified covers a broad range of hardware and software technologies. The world’s largest computer vendors, distributors, resellers and third party maintenance organizations contributed to developing the test.


Computer Service Company Opens New Office in Lafayette

LAFAYETTE (April 20, 1998) - Encompass, a computer service company, recently opened an office in Lafayette. Encompass will sell, service and upgrade personal computers; custom-build servers and workstations; install networks; setup client/server applications such as e-mail and accounting; and develop software and databases. Encompass is owned by Wendt Withers and Christian Broussard. Encompass currently has clients ranging from oilfield service industries to education to professional offices.
